At Sixth and Design, crafting your home is a labor of care and love. Lauren works together with you to discover what you love about your home, what home means to you, and what inspires you. Then, together, we make that real. Lauren’s goal is that each day you love your home just a little bit more.

With our services, our goal is to help you make your home, home. Lauren takes into account your style, your needs, your inspirations, your goals, and bring that into each space we design. Many of the services can be accomplished virtually and in person.
Sixth and Design services include all the design work. Once the design is approved, Lauren will provide all of the ordering information for the products and you will complete the ordering. If you are working with a contractor, and the contractor completes your purchasing and ordering, Lauren is also happy to work with the contractor.

A cohesive color palette for one room or your entire home. The palette can be based in an existing space in your home, a favorite wall paper, a loved piece of art, or entirely new to reflect the mood you want to feel as you live day to day in your home. Each option includes up to 3 color palette schemes.
Set prices:
Color palette for entire home: $500.
Color palette for entire home including up to three wall paper designs: $800

Bringing your art into view. Using the pieces you already own, we will craft a layout to showcase the pieces in a way that feels like home to you.
Art Placement Set Prices:
One room up to two hours: $250
One floor up to three hours $350.

The flow in our homes makes an impact in our everyday experience. Being able to move easily within a space without bumping into a table, a chair, or the dog’s bowls makes a home feel open and free. You will receive a furniture space plan to maximize the flow in a room or a floor.

Powder Rooms are practical and they are also a place for personality! This service refreshes your powder room to highlight an existing color in your home, bring in texture and patterns, bring in a '“oh my!” moment, make a moody statement, or just a space to bring in some of the unexpected.
One of the most fun bathrooms that Lauren has been in is at Night + Market Song in L.A. It has a disco ball and music when the lights turn on - dance party!

So often our kitchen is the heart of our home. We have morning routines to set our days with coffee or tea, and evenings to reset after a long day.
And somehow friends, family, and pets always seem to find their way to be together in the kitchen.
Kitchens are one of Lauren’s favorite spaces to create to make home, home. From backsplash, to countertops, to tables, taps, and sinks - every detail should speak to you. Whether you are looking for a refresh, a place to add a coffee nook, or an entirely new kitchen, let’s make your kitchen’s heart sing.

Start with any room or defined space in your home: entryway, living room, workout space, bedroom, reading nook, etc.

You are looking to redesign an entire floor of your home - first floor, second floor, basement, etc.
This service includes color palette, room flow, fixtures, and material finishes like flooring. It may optionally include furnitture and rug suggestions as well.

Are you remodeling your home and working with a contractor and feel a bit overwhelemd with the options for materials, fixtures and finishings? This service is for you.
Finishings and fixtures are what is attached to your home. Think paint, faucets, countertops, floors, lighting, fireplaces, tile. This service provides guidance and plan for a cohesive home. Lauren loves bringing in a cohesive set of finishings that make your home look like home to you.

process
The process is simple. Once you reach out, you and Lauren will have a conversation either in person at your home, or virtually. The goal of the conversation is to get a sense of your dreams for your project and a sense of what home is to you. After the conversation, Lauren will share a feedback form so you can have a chance to put your ideas into writing. After Lauren receives your intake form, she will put togther notes from the conversation and your feedback. Once all of your ideas are captured, Lauren will provide a project proposal. Once the project proposal is agreed upon, work will begin!
Lauren is the principal designer and founder of Sixth and Design. She has always been drawn to beauty in the aesthetic. Whether in art, nature, creativity, literature, or in simplicity; it is a constant source of inspiration. And, so are the people and homes that Lauren gets to work with. For Lauren, creating spaces that truly feel like home is something that is always accompanied with excitement and joy.
Lauren’s personal style is rooted in natural materials like lime wash paint, plaster, tadelakt, stone, wood; and in the ways in which light and shadow create mood and feeling. The inherent way that nature inspires a sense of calm and comfort is always in mind. Visually, Lauren leans into color blocking and bringing in texture through movements and layers in natural materials.
When she’s not immersed in and joyously overthinking design (so you don’t have to!), she’s most likely reading curled up with her dog Cece, out on a hike, or sharing wine with friends. Cheers to loving home.
